HELLO GUYS!

I have started a new story and a new Live journal. The new story is posted on big_briano. Why start a new Live Journal? Because I couldn't get into this one for some reason!!! So if you want to read a new story from me that is not supernatural and is a bit different, please join me and some familiar faces at big_briano. Sorry for the trouble.

Sorry for delay

Went back to school after the break and got BURIED! Will post this weekend. Thanks for your patience.
Happy New Year, everyone. Here is hoping 2010 is the beginning of a healthy, happy and prosperous decade for all of us. May you have love, and laughter and peace. Sandi did the icon and the illustration. Enjoy.

WINTER SOULS, Chapter 1 by Brian Hennessey

Ok guys, here is the first installment. I hope I remember how to post to this damned thing! HA! The usual disclaimers about I do not own these characters or profit from this writing etc. It feels strange but good to write again. Let me know what you think. And have a wonderful holiday, everyone.

WINTER SOULS, Chapter 1Collapse )

Coming later today (or maybe tonight!)

I have decided to post a little sumpin sumpin on the journal in honor of the day etc. it will be a little nostalgic as it features Mr. Kinney. I hope you are still around, still healthy, still happy and still willing to read! Check back when you can and if not have a safe and wonderful holiday with people you love. Brian

September 11, 2009

I am moored off of Greenland in the rough North Atlantic, unable to go ashore because of high winds and seas. As I sit here on a luxury ship, I watch the unreality of what occurred eight years ago on this date. Our lives have gone on, while so many have not. But we can never forget. We honor those innocents who died in this horror and mourn for the pain of their loved ones left behind. But it wasn't just the people most directly hit by those planes of terror, it was also all the men and women who have died in the unceasing struggle to quiet the forces behind that attack.

The heroes go beyond the firefighters and police and ordinary people who responded to the immediate tragedy, but also to those who have been asked to fight to prevent a recurrence. I pray for them all. I honor them all. The unreality of watching this from so far away is not lost on me. America is flawed, but for all its flaws, it deserves better than what happened on September 11, 2001 and it deserves to be better still to all the hungry and homeless and hopeless who live within its borders.

Like everyone, I get lost in my own petty issues, my disappointments and sadnesses and small victories and lesser defeats. But remembering the losses of 9/11 brings home how lucky we are to be here, to be alive, to be free, to pursue dreams. I miss all of you and hope to return to writing soon. I hope this finds you well and happy and honoring this day in your own way.

Love,

Brian

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

Happy Fourth of July friends! I hope it's a safe day for all of you and you see people you love and eat some good food and stay out of the sun!! Be careful handling those firecrackers! HA! Lecture over. Now have a cold one on me and enjoy yourself and enjoy all the beautiful symbols of freedom exploding in the night sky!

It's broiling hot here, but that's the holiday, I guess! Hope all of you are well and happy. Brian (ps Happy Canada Day to my northern friends, cough, Heather, cough!)

INDIFFERENCE, CONCLUSION

Ok, vamps, here it is. The final chapter. I appreciate your hanging in with me and I really want to thank Heather and Sandi and Arness for the beautiful images! In this post, Heather did the icon, Arness the washington scene and Sandi the bedroom scene. Thanks thanks thanks ladies. Thanks to you all. I am not disappearing, just recharging some creative juices, I hope. I have some ideas! I so appreciate your friendship and encouragement, please stay in touch and let me know how things are. Happy father's day, while I am at it. Have a wonderful summer, and thanks again, Brian

INDIFFERENCE, ConclusionCollapse )

Posting Conclusion Soon

For those of you still reading this story, I plan to post the conclusion if not today, then in the next two days. It depends on how much time I can muster in one setting. I do want to tell you how much I appreciate those readers who hung in for the whole story and who gave me feedback and encouragement. I especially want to thank Heather and Sandi and Minion for all the great illustrations that added so much to the tale.

I'm not sure where I go next, judging from things perhaps this internet method of writing has played out for me. It was a lot of fun and I learned so much, so thanks to you all.

I hope each of you and all of you have good things in your futures, love, laughter, joy and health. I am working on a couple things I hope to have published one day. EIther by a real publisher or by an online publisher. I will let you know, but of course it would be original characters and both of the ideas I am developing are a bit dark, but not horror genre.

Thanks again and look for the conclusion soon. Brian
